Two important achievements, Guide to the Development and International Dissemination of Vocational Skills Standards and A Collection of Innovative Case Studies on Trade in Services with ASEAN, compiled with the participation of LZPU, were officially released to the public. The university's industry-education integration real-world program, Building an AI Digital Creativity and Communication Center to Empower Liuzhou to Cultivate Service Trade Talents for ASEAN, was selected into the case collection. Only two institutions were included in this case collection, marking that LZPU's practice of vocational education going global has been recognized at the national level. Yang Geyao, Dean of the School of Trade and Tourism Management of LZPU, attended the conference on behalf of the university.
This promotion conference was co-hosted by the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the People's Government of Beijing Municipality, and the People's Government of Hainan Province. Under the theme of "Digitally Connecting ASEAN, Trading the Future—Co-creating a New AI-Powered Ecosystem for Open Cooperation in Trade in Services," it brought together over 600 attendees, including ASEAN diplomatic envoys to China and representatives from governments, enterprises, and think tanks. At the conference, Guangxi, Beijing, and Hainan jointly signed the Initiative on Collaborative Deepening the ASEAN-Oriented Services Trade Cooperation Among Guangxi, Beijing, and Hainan, simultaneously released multiple research results and innovative products, and collectively signed a batch of key service trade cooperation projects.
The Guide to the Development and International Dissemination of Vocational Skills Standards was jointly compiled and released by the China–ASEAN Industry-Education Integration Community for Digital Economy and Management, the China-Indonesia TVET Industry-Education Alliance, and the Malaysian National Committee for Education Integration. It is designed to guide industry organizations, enterprises, institutions, and related cooperative units in developing vocational skill standards and their overseas application, emphasizing the coherent progression of "post-standard-curriculum-practical training-evaluation-application." Focusing on the overseas applicability evaluation, localized adaptation, and overseas pilot implementation of standards, it holds great guiding significance for aligning Chinese vocational skill standards with ASEAN industrial demands and facilitating the orderly global expansion of vocational education resources.
Initiated and established under the leadership of LZPU, the China-Indonesia TVET Industry-Education Alliance is an important international industry-education cooperation platform in vocational education between China and Indonesia. Bringing together over 340 member units including Chinese and Indonesian institutions and enterprises, it continuously promotes pragmatic cooperation in the co-development of vocational education standards and joint talent cultivation.
Based on the practical context of Liuzhou's manufacturing industry going global, the case selected from LZPU focuses centrally on providing local enterprises with ASEAN-oriented AI new media content production and cross-border communication services. Addressing enterprises' pain points in the ASEAN market, such as insufficient localized brand communication and weak supply of multilingual new media content, the university relies on the AI Digital Creativity and Communication Center to transform enterprises' real-world overseas communication demands into teaching projects. In partnership with local automobile, food, and other enterprises, it co-builds tailored classes, leverages AI technology to batch-generate multilingual short videos, e-commerce content, and live streaming materials tailored for the ASEAN market, and establishes a digital and intelligent communication chain from content creation to cross-border distribution, thereby helping enterprises reach ASEAN consumers at lower costs and higher efficiency and realizing the closed-loop operation of "AI new media empowering local enterprises to go global."
As the leading institution of the China-Indonesia TVET Industry-Education Alliance, LZPU will leverage these two achievements as key drivers and follow the Guide to the Development and International Dissemination of Vocational Skills Standards as an action guideline to deepen joint standard development and collaborative talent cultivation, continuously expand the practice of vocational education going global, support the high-quality development of China-ASEAN trade in services, and contribute vocational education strength to building a closer China-ASEAN community with a shared future.
