From News Center (Text by Shen Shiyi, School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering; Photos by Huang Guangcong, Pan Feiming, and Wu Jiayue, Convergence Media Center) On the morning of June 17, the opening ceremony of the 2026 SCC—LZPU Thailand Base International Tailored Class for High-End Intelligent Equipment On-site Maintenance Engineers was held at the Guantang Campus of Liuzhou Polytechnic University (LZPU). A total of 40 trainees were recruited for this tailored class, continuing the "Thai language + vocational skills" talent cultivation model of the first session to cultivate and deliver versatile, highly-skilled equipment maintenance talents for the SCC Thailand Base. Qiu Fuming, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC LZPU Committee and Vice President of LZPU, Huang Hualong, Deputy Director of Human Resources of Shennan Circuits Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "SCC"), Chen Shizheng, Recruitment Manager, relevant heads from the International Exchange Department and the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering of LZPU, and all teachers and students of the tailored class attended the opening ceremony.
In his speech, Qiu Fuming reviewed the development process of school-enterprise cooperation from domestic job training to international talent co-cultivation. He emphasized that the tailored class is not just training maintenance workers, but on-site engineers who understand equipment, processes, quality, and on-site operations, and who possess cross-linguistic and cross-cultural communication capabilities.
"Three years ago, when the SCC Thailand project was still in its initial stage, we began forming a tailored class with LZPU. It has been proven that this choice was correct." At the ceremony, Huang Hualong spoke highly of LZPU's response speed and cultivation capacity in serving the overseas talent needs of enterprises. He introduced the growth of the first batch of trainees at the Thailand base and encouraged the new students to leverage the decade-long school-enterprise cooperation platform, master PCB process and equipment operation & maintenance knowledge, actively adapt to cross-cultural environments, and grow into bridges facilitating industrial exchanges between China and Thailand.
At the opening ceremony, seniors from the first session sent video messages from the Thailand Base, sharing their personal experiences in Thailand with their juniors: "You may feel a bit out of place at first, yet the company provides great accommodation and catering, and you will get along harmoniously with Thai colleagues. More importantly, you will feel truly valued, as the company trains you to become core backbones. I hope all of you will master professional skills solidly and lay a sound foundation in the Thai language while studying on campus. We look forward to meeting you at the Thailand Base!" The sincere sharing from the seniors left the trainees full of anticipation for working in Thailand.
To precisely serve SCC's overseas expansion needs, LZPU launched two-way tailored cultivation for Chinese and Thai students in 2023, providing support for the smooth commissioning of the SCC Thailand Base. In June 2025, SCC provided equipment and established an International Industrial College at the school, further deepening school-enterprise cooperation. Focusing on advantageous disciplines such as electromechanical intelligent equipment technology, LZPU has built a "language skills + professional skills + cross-cultural ability" curriculum system by offering the Thai language micro-major, cultivating versatile talents with both cross-cultural adaptability and professional skills, and providing continuous talent reserve support for SCC. Moving forward, both parties will continue to deepen collaborative education, create a benchmark for school-enterprise cooperation in vocational education's global outreach, and provide more high-caliber technical and skilled talents for the international development of China's manufacturing industry.
