From News Center (Text by Liao Boguang, School of Trade and Tourism Management; Photos by Huang Shouxing, Converged Media Center) To seize opportunities brought by the digital transformation of the automobile industry and deepen collaborative talent cultivation through industry-education integration, LZPU and Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor Co., Ltd. jointly held the unveiling and cooperation agreement signing ceremony for the Industry-Education Integration Practice Center for New Energy Vehicle (NEV) New Media Operations on the morning of June 17. Building on five years of in-depth cooperation, the two sides will focus on AI content creation, livestreaming e-commerce, cross-border new media and other fields to develop an integrated platform that combines teaching, training and real-world operations. The center will cultivate versatile digital marketing talent for Guangxi’s automobile industry.

The event was held at LZPU's Chongwen Building that day. Qu Fan, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC LZPU Committee and Vice President of LZPU, and Bao Dan, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee of Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor), delivered speeches successively. Representatives from the university and the enterprise signed the cooperation agreement on site and jointly unveiled the Practice Center. After the ceremony, the guests visited the campus livestreaming training base and the AI Digital Creativity and Communication Center, where they watched practical training demonstrations such as student livestreaming sessions and AI short video creation, gaining a first-hand view of the talent cultivation model that connects classroom learning with workplace demands and aligns practical training with real-world operations.

As an institution under the national Double High-Level Plan and a key vocational undergraduate university in Guangxi, LZPU has long been rooted in the local automobile industry. Our partnership with Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor began in 2021. Over the years, the two sides have jointly built training bases, carried out new media training programs, undertaken overseas technical training programs, and jointly developed skills evaluation standards, fully linking the education chain, talent chain and industrial chain. The newly co-built Practice Center is led by LZPU's School of Trade and Tourism Management. The School is home to a national training base for cross-border e-commerce talent and serves as a vice-chair unit of a national industry-education integration community. It is also among the first pilot units in China for the standardized development of micro-majors in New Media Operations. With high-quality and distinctive majors in Guangxi, the School has long offered tailored classes for automobile manufacturers and has been deeply involved in developing industry standards, placing it at the forefront of peer schools in the region. It has also established Guangxi's first livestreaming e-commerce industry college jointly built by the government, university, industry and enterprises, as well as the AI Digital Creativity and Communication Center, creating an intelligent, real-scenario practical training system. The School has also delivered strong results in talent cultivation, with its students winning multiple awards in international and domestic competitions such as the World Vocational College Skills Competition and the BRICS Skills Competition. It has established cooperation with more than 40 leading enterprises and implemented tailored classes and modern apprenticeship programs. Its graduate employment rate has remained above 95%, continuously supplying high-caliber skilled talent for regional industries. Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor operates globally, with digitalization and internationalization as key development priorities. This cooperation will effectively address the company's talent needs and further deepen coordinated development between local universities and enterprises.

The newly launched Practice Center will closely follow industry trends, adopt enterprise job standards, and implement a university-enterprise dual-mentor system. Students will participate throughout the process in real projects such as automotive brand livestreaming, AI content production and new media operations, gaining multiple core skills in an integrated manner and accurately matching enterprises' needs for digital and international development. The Center is an important outcome of mutually beneficial university-enterprise cooperation. It will help the enterprise optimize new media operations and build a pipeline of young talent, while also advancing reform in vocational education and teaching. Taking the Center as a starting point, the two sides will distill their talent cultivation experience, develop a replicable and scalable model, and build a regional benchmark for automotive digitalization and industry-education integration.

At this new starting point of cooperation, the university and the enterprise will continue to integrate their advantageous resources and expand the scope of collaboration. Through industry-education integration, they will support industrial upgrading and contribute fully to Liuzhou's efforts to expand its automotive industrial cluster and build an international hub for the NEV industry.
