From News Center (Text/Photo by Liang Hongji, School of Automotive Engineering) The results of the Guangxi Regional Finals of the 28th China Robot and Artificial Intelligence Competition (CRAIC) and the 5th Guangxi Robot and Artificial Intelligence Competition were recently announced. LZPU's School of Low-Altitude Economy Industry organized two student teams to make their competitive debut in the "Low-Altitude Drone Smart Rescue" track, successfully securing first and second prizes, with both teams qualifying for the national finals.
Organized by the Department of Education of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, this high-caliber competition featured 25 cutting-edge events in AI and robotics. Boasting a broad reach and high prestige, the event attracted over 2,000 teams from 56 universities across the region. The "Low-Altitude Drone Smart Rescue" track is based on air-ground linkage rescue scenarios. The assessment covers the entire closed-loop process, including autonomous drone patrols, AI-driven recognition of disaster-zone QR codes, precise delivery of rescue supplies, wireless data transmission, and the accurate deployment of ground rescue vehicles to target locations. Participants must demonstrate skills in autonomous programming, equipment debugging, air-ground linkage operations, and on-site adaptability. Over 80 teams from various universities and vocational colleges competed in this track, making for a highly competitive event.
This achievement is a vivid embodiment of LZPU's philosophy of "promoting skills and fostering talent through competition." By honing their skills in real-world scenarios, our students showcased the effectiveness of LZPU's practice-oriented education and their own exceptional comprehensive abilities. Moving forward, LZPU will continue to polish its technical solutions and strategies, guiding the teams to give their all in preparation for the national finals and striving for new breakthroughs.
