[Undergraduate] Resource Recycling Engineering
Program: [Undergraduate] Resource Recycling Engineering
Program Duration: 4 years
Educational Objectives
This program aims to cultivate versatile technical professionals who meet the demands of the national Dual Carbon and green circular development strategies. Students will acquire a solid foundation in solid waste characterization, resource recovery technologies, circular economy theories, low-carbon environmental protection, and relevant laws and regulations. They will also develop practical skills in solid waste classification and treatment, resource recovery process design and optimization, recycled material testing and evaluation, circular economy project management, and the intelligent operation and maintenance of environmental protection facilities. Graduates will be well-equipped to work as solid waste resource recovery engineers, process engineers, environmental facility operations engineers, carbon accounting/management engineers, and recycled material testing engineers across various sectors, including industrial solid waste recycling companies, retired power battery recycling firms, environmental engineering firms, government ecological and environmental management departments, and third-party service organizations.
Career Prospects
Graduates can work in solid waste recycling enterprises, retired power battery recycling companies, environmental engineering firms, third-party testing agencies, and key waste-generating industries such as steel, metallurgy, and automotive manufacturing. Typical roles include solid waste treatment technician, process design assistant, environmental facility operator, recycled material inspector, and carbon accounting assistant. Alternatively, graduates may choose to pursue a master's degree for further education. Future career paths include solid waste resource recovery engineer, environmental facility operations supervisor, carbon management/verification engineer, recycled material testing engineer, cleaner production auditor, and project manager.
