LZPU and Huawei Sign Strategic Cooperation Agreement
From News Center (Text & Photos by Qin Xiaochen, School-Enterprise Cooperation Office) To fully implement the national innovation-driven development strategy, fulfill the Ministry of Education's "Industry-University Cooperation and Collaborative Education" program, and deepen the integration of industry and education to improve educational quality, LZPU held a strategic cooperation signing ceremony with Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "Huawei") at its R&D headquarters in Songshan Lake, Dongguan on May 19. Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on innovative models of industry-education integration and the cultivation of highly skilled technical professionals before formally signing the agreement. Gan Jinming, Deputy Party Secretary and President of LZPU, and Zhai Xiaoqi, Deputy General Manager of Huawei's Guangxi Government & Enterprise Business, attended the ceremony alongside other representatives.
At the signing meeting, Gan Jinming expressed his sincere gratitude to Huawei for its long-term support on behalf of the university. He elaborated on the school’s distinctive educational features, academic achievements, and the results of its industry-education integration initiatives. Gan noted that this signing is of great significance and will serve as a catalyst for both parties to explore a collaborative model for an AI Industry College. This will include deep cooperation in talent cultivation, faculty exchange, scientific research, technological innovation, AI-powered smart campus construction, and AI initiatives oriented toward the ASEAN region. These efforts aim to showcase greater responsibility in promoting the high-quality development of Liuzhou and establishing a new benchmark for regional industry-education integration.
Zhai Xiaoqi stated that Huawei remains committed to its roots in Guangxi and its service to Liuzhou. The company attaches great importance to vocational education and industrial talent ecosystem development. By leveraging core technological systems such as Kunpeng, HarmonyOS, and ICT, Huawei continues to advance talent cultivation reforms and school-enterprise collaborative innovation in the information technology sector. This strategic cooperation marks a new starting point for mutual benefits and complementary advantages. Huawei looks forward to joining hands with the university to build a new platform for industry-education integration, co-cultivating high-quality technical talent that meets industrial demands, and boosting the deep integration of the local digital and physical economies.
Gan Jinming and Zhai Xiaoqi signed the Framework Cooperation Agreement between Liuzhou Vocational & Technical University and Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. on behalf of their respective organizations.
During the discussion session, heads of LZPU's School-Enterprise Cooperation Office, Office of Scientific Research, Network and Information Center, and relevant secondary schools held detailed talks with the Huawei team. They focused on key cooperation matters, including innovative school-enterprise modes, joint research platforms, smart campus upgrades, the restructuring of talent training systems, and the promotion of international standards within ASEAN.
The university delegation also visited and held talks with Xingyun New Energy Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., a Huawei ecosystem partner. The two sides exchanged views on joint program development, targeted talent cultivation, and collaborative teacher training, reaching a consensus on several areas of cooperation.
The signing of this strategic cooperation is a vital step in the university's implementation of national vocational education reforms and its commitment to deepening industry-education integration. It also serves as a key driver for the economic transformation and upgrading of the Liuzhou and Guangxi regions. Relying on Liuzhou's solid automotive industry foundation and Huawei's cutting-edge digital technology, LZPU will precisely align with the high-end, intelligent, and green transformation needs of local industries, providing a steady stream of talent and technological support for high-quality regional economic growth.
